It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 edition of Storm the Trent. By this point, it almost goes without saying that this decision is in everyone's best interest, given the current public health crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. After many discussions with our medic team, the local Health Unit, and with others in the race organizing community, we have determined that it would be wise to make the call sooner rather than later.

Like the rest of the world, we have been closely monitoring the current public health situation, and how it may affect racing events in the weeks and months to come.
We will be working with our event partners and the District Health Unit, in examining all available options for a viable and safe event for our participants, staff and volunteers.
Any pertinent updates will be provided through our newsletter and social media channels as soon as they are available.
New for 2020 is the addition of an optional masters category for both teams of two or four in each of the Hike, Trek and Trek Elite events. The master category will be open to teams on which all team members are ages 45 years or more. Gender sub-categories among Masters teams will be offered only when there are at least 2 teams per gender class.
This is an entirely optional choice however - teams may still opt for the regular "open" categories if they choose. The option is provided at the point of registration.
