Crossing the finish line at Storm the Trent is an amazing experience. Why not make that experience even more meaningful, by helping to provide a life-changing wilderness experience for a vulnerable youth; a woman who’s experienced abuse; or a veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Storm Racing is thrilled to partner with Outward Bound Canada, a national charity that provides inspiring and challenging journeys of self-discovery in the natural world for some of society’s most vulnerable members. Close to $30,000 has been raised between our events and the Wilderness Traverse adventure race over the past two seasons, and we are looking to keep the momentum going in 2017!
We are encouraging Storm racers to take up the fundraising challenge, and support Outward Bound’s specially-designed wilderness and urban programs for youth at risk, women survivors of violence, and military veterans struggling with the transition to civilian life. In doing so, you can earn the chance to qualify for awesome Outward Bound-branded gear! And as an added incentive, we will be offering a free entry to Storm the Trent 2018 to the top fundraising team or solo!
All you have to do (once you’ve registered for the race) is set up your personal fundraising page, send an email with a link to your personal networks, and start making a difference! Outward Bound will provide you with tools and tips to support you on your fundraising journey. You can also make a personal donation if you would prefer.
