Canada's Largest Adventure Event

Voted three years running by readers of Get Out There Magazine as Ontario's “favourite adventure race”, Salomon Storm the Trent is Canada's largest and most inclusive gathering of multi-sport adventurers. Three separate races are staged to provide racers with the ultimate in choice; including the beginner-friendly “Hike” short-course, the intermediate-level “Trek” long-course, as well as the “Trek Elite” advanced course.

Hosted this year at Trudeau Park Resort just outside of the village of Tweed, the eighth annual Storm the Trent features three brand-new racecourses staged from a region never before explored by racers in an adventure sports event. A maximum of 500 participants will be treated to this scenic region and its uniquely diverse topography, competing in their choice of three entirely separate events featuring three levels of difficulty:

“Hike” 3-5 Hour Short Course

The original beginner-level adventure event! The Hike course features low-impact hiking/running on groomed trails, easy-to-moderate level riding on off-road and backroad routes, and scenic flatwater paddling. No navigational skills are required…

Salomon Storm the Trent races feature unique course layouts designed and managed in-house by our own race management team, and supported by an army of friendly volunteers and race staff. Each event also includes:

  • Tons and tons of sponsor-donated prizing.
  • Gender and age category awards for teams of 2 or 4 and solo racers.
  • Catered hot meals at the Finish Line.
  • On-site canoe rentals or the option to bring your own.
  • Secure bike and boat compounds.
  • Feature swag for each race.
