“Hike” 4-Hour Short Course
May 10, 2008

Don't settle for overpriced imitators - Axis Gear STORM the Trent is the original “my first” adventure event! We've been creating introductory-level multi-sport adventures since the beginning, and we know what it takes to make the formula work. Take a highly-organized race staff team, a friendly and supportive crew of volunteers, and the unparalleled sense of racer camaraderie generated at each event, and you have what is easily the most attainable and enjoyable multi-sport racing challenge in Ontario!

Our short-course event is specifically designed to create a fun day of off-road racing suitable for a wide range of fitness and ability levels. Racers will be faced with mountain bike sections involving non-technical riding on trail and backroad routes, running stages through well-maintained trail networks, as well as one of the most scenic flatwater paddles in the Kawarthas!

The 7th annual “Hike” event will feature all-new race routes, as well as a new race format for 2008. This year, the goal of each team will be to reach as many of the course checkpoints as they can within a four-hour time limit, accumulating points as they move through the racecourse which, combined with their finish time, will determine their overall ranking. Race routes will be fully marked, but teams will have the opportunity to attempt additional unmarked checkpoints if they choose. Complete details are provided in the racer information package below.
