“Hike”
3-5 Hour Course
Sunday May 13, 2012 |
 |
The original “my
first” adventure event! Storm Racing has
been offering introductory-level adventure races
since 2002, and we know what it takes to make
the formula work. Take a highly-organized race
staff team, a friendly and supportive crew of
volunteers, and the unparalleled sense of racer
camaraderie generated at each event, and you have
what is easily the most achievable and enjoyable
multi-sport challenge in Ontario!
Our short-course event is specifically designed
to create a fun day of off-road racing suitable
for a wide range of fitness and ability levels.
Racers will be faced with scenic flatwater paddling
sections; non-technical mountain biking on backroad
routes; and beautiful running terrain through
well-maintained trail networks. Finish times for
all teams will range anywhere between three to
five hours.
This year's 11th annual “Hike” event
will feature an all-new racecourse design; a fantastic
resort venue with on-site accommodation options;
electronic race timing; as well as tons of great
prizing for top finishers! Solo racers and teams
of 2 or 4 will make their way through a series
of checkpoints across a clearly-defined racecourse
that features both marked and semi-marked sections.
Complete details are provided in the racer information
package below.
